It’s important for every patient to work with their Morphē multidisciplinary care team post-procedure to create long-lasting good habits and routines, and to ensure the optimal outcome for your treatment.

It is very important to detect any sign of serious side-effects from surgeries early.

Morphē surgeons will always perform a post-operative assessment on all patients, ensuring you are recovering as well as possible before leaving the hospital.

For weight loss surgery, as well as reflux surgery, our surgeons will undertake a CT scan of your abdomen with oral contrast before you leave hospital to ensure normal passage of contrast prior to upgrading your diet.

Our Post-Operative Support Program service gives you two-years support following weight loss surgery and six-months support following a balloon placement.

This support is provided within our clinic by the one fully specialised team, This means we’re with you all the way— no referrals, off-site visits or unfamiliar faces.

Post-Operative Support also gives you online resources and a dedicated after-hours phone service connecting you with our surgeons and our specialised nursing team if and when you need them.

You’ll also have access to all of our specialists, from dietitians to psychologists, exercise physiologists and bariatric nurses.

Our Bariatric GPs are also here to support patients when needed, and will be brought in by your surgeon if required. They are separate to our routine Post-Operative Support but can assist in supporting our surgeons’ patients post-operatively.

Separate also is our endocrinologist, who is able to support patients (if required).
